I don't really think about trends like "I started them"—that feels weird and probably isn't even true. But, my stylist Monica Rose hits me up all the time, saying, "I see so-and-so wearing things we did first!" Half the time, I'm not even sure if I can pull off certain looks, but it's validating to see them catch on and people commenting positively.
Since Monica styles most of us, it's funny to see which sister actually gets "credit." Since Kylie is such a street-style girl, people always think she started something—so annoying, lol. I wore a ripped rocker tee with my bralette one day and she did the same thing the very next! We've always been at war over clothes, haha!
The way I work with Monica is that she'll bring over a bunch of stuff (lately, it's been the dopest jeans!) and I'll add my own twist. She does set up some outfits, but mostly I'll pick pieces from them and create my own looks. I love to repeat, restyling one particular piece—and mixing and matching the items I can't get enough of.
I was just thinking the other day, I've never inherently had good style like my sisters. Kylie always had it together and I was annoyed with myself for being so unsure. More recently, I've finally hit my style stride: It's that vintage, cool-girl grungy look. Khloé calls it "rockstar's wife"—SO good, right? I love things like the effortless look of a leopard coat with vintage jeans. I think once I identified that vibe, I realized I can dress how I feel and still be cool.
