I've been to St. Barth's twice now and both times were a blast. It's 100% paradise, so I thought I'd share some of my favorite spots and activities on the island with you! If you go, be warned about one thing: The plane touchdown is so scary that I cried the first time we landed! (The landing strip is soooo small.)
Right on Shell Beach is Do Brazil, where they have the best burgers (there's nothing like eating one in a bikini;) Bonito is probably one of the most romantic restaurants I've ever been to (it's like one big beach house living room)—it's a beautiful sunset. I also love La Plage at Tom Beach Hotel, where the menu's always changing and your feet are in the sand as you eat!
If I had to choose between staying at a hotel or on a yacht…a boat would be my first choice. But, when I went with my family, we stayed at the private Villa La Banane—and it left nothing to be desired! SO incredible. The compound has wooden bungalows with two pools in this super private area called L'Orient. It was a quick walk to the beach, too.
Le Carré d'Or is the one street where all of the shops are located—and they have two of my faves: Hèrmes and Calypso. I lived in Zimmerman bikinis and coverups on these trips, but my #1 St. Barth's essential is a solid hat, which you can choose from tons of awesome options at Poupette.
The best thing about St. Barth's is that there's something for everyone. If you'd rather be chill on a boat or beach, that's cool, and obviously super easy to do. But, for me, it's all about doing every water activity you can think of! It's one of the top places in the world to SUP, snorkel, jet ski, and flyboard. We hiked to a natural bathing pool as a family and ATVed everywhere (you can drive them on the streets!). Parasailing was for sure my favorite memory there, though—because we were all together. It doesn't matter where I'm at, being with my family is fun anywhere on the globe!
